The need for NSFP (I) Utility Monitor/Reader is identified clearly by google, AT&T and other companies asking the Obama administration to push energy monitoring technologies on April 2010.

The Why

"We know more about how we use gasoline in our cars than we do the power in our homes," Google said in a statement. People will drive miles to save a few pennies per gallon of gas, it said. "We pay roughly the same amount to power our house but know very little about our power use."

The Thought

"You get a bill once a month with almost no discernible information except how much money you owe and where to send the check," The company said. " could you imagine filling up your car all month in gas stations without prices then getting a bill at the end of the month" With timely, useful and actionable information on their energy use, people can achieve signification savings.

Our Scope

(I) Utility Monitor/Reader: A wired or wireless power and energy reader/monitor for all utilities. It will tell you at a glance how much Electricity, Gas, Water,Solar or Wind Turbine is being used or generated at any moment a summary for actionable information or future projects /what if's. 

Our Target

One design that will work with any utility using the digital readout. That can be installed without tools or simple attachment setup.
